    9. Navigate to Plugins: Go to Plugins → Add New.
    10. Upload Plugin: Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
    11. Select File: Choose the downloaded ZIP file and click Install Now.

    14. After activation, ShahiAssist will create necessary database tables and set up default settings.

      Updating

To update ShahiAssist to a newer version:

    15. Download the latest ZIP file.
    16. Deactivate the current plugin in Plugins → Installed Plugins.
    17. Delete the old version.
    18. Upload and install the new version as described above.
    19. Reactivate the plugin.
    20. Alternatively, if you have automatic updates enabled, WordPress may handle this automatically. Always back up your site before updating.

      To completely remove ShahiAssist:

    21. Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
    22. Click Deactivate under ShahiAssist.
    23. Click Delete to remove the plugin files.
    24. (Optional) Before deleting, go to ShahiAssist → Settings → Advanced and enable “Delete plugin data on uninstall” to remove all associated data, including tickets, KB articles, and settings.
    25. Note: Uninstalling will not affect your WordPress core or other plugins.

      Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues during installation:

    26. Upload Errors: Ensure the ZIP file is not corrupted and your upload limit is sufficient (check php.ini for uploadmaxfilesize).
    27. Activation Failures: Check for plugin conflicts by deactivating other plugins temporarily.
    28. Permission Issues: Ensure the wp-content/plugins/ directory is writable (permissions 755).
    29. Database Errors: Verify your database credentials in wp-config.php.
