How to Export and Import Data

Exporting

1. Go to ShahiAssist → Settings → Integrations or the dedicated Export/Import page.
2. Select what to export:

– Tickets: All tickets with metadata, replies, attachments.
– KB Articles: Articles with categories, ratings, content.
– Settings: All plugin configuration.

3. Click Export All for a comprehensive backup.
4. Download the JSON file to your computer.

Use exports for backups, migrations, or data analysis.

Importing


5. In the Import section, choose the data type:

– Import Tickets: Upload JSON with ticket data.
– Import KB Articles: Upload Markdown (.md), text (.txt), or JSON files.
– Import Settings: Overwrite current settings.

6. Select files (multiple for batch import).
7. Options:

– Publish Immediately: Make imported items live.
– Save as Draft: Review before publishing.
– Skip Duplicates: Avoid overwriting existing items.

8. Click Import and monitor progress.

Supported formats: JSON for structured data, Markdown/Text for articles.

Sample Data Seeder


• In the Import tab, find Sample Data Seeder.
• Click Seed Sample Data to add demo tickets and articles.
• Useful for testing or showcasing the plugin.
• Remove sample data manually after testing.
